Reports can be produced in FastBase by clicking on the required menu option under "Reports" then selecting the desired report. Make your selections as provided on the screen then select the "Print" button.
FastBase provides a standard mechanism for outputting all reports, any report can be sent to a printer, displayed on screen, sent to disk file, exported to Excel (or similar program) or sent via email. Reports can also be faxed automatically if this has been set-up.
Printer (P), you will be given a list of printers to choose from. Each user has a default printer, if you want this changed contact your system administrator.
Screen (S), the report will be displayed on screen.
Disk File (D), when you start the report you will be prompted for a filename to save the report as. When the report has finished a message will displayed telling you that the file has been created.
Export (X), when you start the report you will be prompted for a filename. Enter the filename, do not include an extension as this will be added automatically as
.csv. When the report has finished a message will displayed telling you that the file has been created, you will be asked if you want to open the file now. The windows program associated with .csv files will be started automatically.
Email (E), enter the email address to send the report to.
Fax (F), enter the fax number, company name and contact person. When the report has been finished it will be automatically faxed. This option must be set-up by your FastBase support staff and may require additional services provided by a third party.
