Notes can be entered against any account in FastBase. FastBase records the date and user that entered the note plus the date and user that last updated the note.

Each note has a type, either Active (A), Completed (C) or an Alert! (X).

Any note that is flagged as an Alert! will be displayed to the user automatically when doing account enquiries or entering transactions.

To enter new notes simply press the "New" button or Insert key. Select the note type then enter your note as required.
To delete a note select it from the list then press the "Delete"button. You may not delete other people's notes unless you have enough security.
If you have an Alert! note that is nolonger required you can either delete it or just change the type to completed.

Security:
You can view notes that are entered by other people but generally you cannot maintain or delete other users notes (unless you have supervisor/level 9 security).

Alert notes can be printed from the appropriate report for each module: Customer Listing , Product Listing, Supplier Listing, Account Listing/ Chart of Accounts or Asset Listing.
