The customer enquiry screen in FastBase is the easiest way to enquire on customers of your organisation. This screen gives you a number of options when searching for a particular customer:
Customer Number:
This field allows you to enter a part or specific number (up to 20 characters including spaces) of a customer. If you enter only a part of the number, customers begining with that number will be listed. If you enter a specific number, the customer's details will be brought up on the screen instantly.
Customer Name:
This field allows you to enter a part or specific name of a customer. The customer name/s that begin with name specified in your search criteria will be displayed.
Keyword Search:
This field searches for customers based on Customer Name or Contact Name. Any customers with the entered keywords in either of the two fields (customer name or contact name) will be displayed.
Address Search:
This field searches for customers based on Customer Address. Entering a part of an address will list all customers that match any of the address details specified in your search criteria.
Phone Number Search:
This field searches for customers based on Customer Phone Number. Entering a part of a phone number, will list all customers that match the phone number specified in your search criteria.
Type:
This field allows you to search for customers based on their type of business. Customers belonging to the selected type will only be displayed. Types need to be set up before you use this search criteria. See Customer Types.
Salesperson:
This field allows you to search for customers based on Salespeople in your organisation. Only customers belonging to the selected salesperson will be displayed. See Utilities - Codes.
Area:
This field allows you to search for customers based on their regional/geographical location. Only customers in the selected area will be displayed. See Utilities - Areas.
NOTE: The different search options mentioned above can be used in conjunction with each other.
