Stock Re-order Levels

This screen is accessed via the Part Purchasing Details screen or by pressing Alt-R on the part maintenance screen.

Re-order levels are recorded in FastBase for each branch.

Minimum Quantity:
Maximum Quantity:
Entering a quantity in either of these fields overrides the computers calculated quantities (see below). When the available quantity goes below the minimum stock quantity the computer orders upto the maximum quantity.
See the Suggested Order Generation process for further details about computerised stock re-ordering.

Override Location:
The computer determines the best location to hold stock based on the sales frequency. Entering a location here overrides the default from the computer. You can specify that stock is to be held at head office only or that it should be held locally by each branch.
This option will be suppressed for systems with only 1 stock branch.

The above figures are calculated automatically by the suggested order generation process. See Stock Re-Order Logic for further details.

Order Quantity:
If you want this part to be highlighted on the Daily Sales & Availability Report report for re-ordering then enter the desired quantity here. This part will always print on the report as a reminder to be ordered until the quantity on order is greater than or equal to the entered order quantity. Once the on order quantity is reached this field will automatically be reset to zero.

Entered By:
This records the operator that entered the order quantity, for reference.
