When you select "Alternate Parts" from the "More Options" menu you will see a screen with a list of the same part from different suppliers.
This screen shows you the "Alternate Part Number", a description and any notes regarding to this part.
You can also add a new alternate part by click on "New", entering the relevant details and saving.
