Fastbase

The GL Account enquiry screen in FastBase is the easiest way to enquire on different GL accunts of your organisation. This screen gives you a number of options when searching for a particular GL account:

Account Number:
This field allows you to enter a part or specific number (up to 20 characters including spaces) of a GL account. If you enter only a part of the number, GL accounts begining with that number will be listed. If you enter a specific number, the GL account's details will be brought up on the screen instantly.

Start of Name:
This field allows you to enter a part or specific name of a GL account. The GL account name/s that begin with name specified in your search criteria will be displayed.

Keyword Search:
This field searches for GL accounts based on GL account Number, Description or Extra Description. Any GL accounts with the entered keywords in either of the three fields (GL account number, description or extra description) will be displayed.

Type:
This field allows you to search for GL accounts based on their types. GL accounts belonging to the selected type will only be displayed. Types need to be set up before you use this search criteria. See GL Account Types.

Subtype:
This field allows you to search for GL accounts based on codes. Only GL accounts belonging to the selected code will be displayed. The subtype field will only appear if you have specified some GL account subtypes. See Utilities - Codes.

NOTE: The different search options mentioned above can be used in conjunction with each other.
