set setup(part_quick_load) 0
This option determines if a simpler screen is used when loading new parts, this screen contains the following fields: Part, Description, Type, Category, Selling prices, Main Supplier, Supplier List Price, Costing Multiplier, Extra Detail and Bin Location. You don't necessary have to fill in all of these fields but it makes for much quicker loading of new parts.

set setup(stock_enquiry_quantities) 0
Turn this option on to show more quantities when doing a part enquiry.
The default enquiry screen just shows the available quantity (across all branches if applicable).
If this option is on (1) then you get "On Hand, Allocated, Available, BackOrder, On Order".

set setup(part_sequence_field) 0
Each part master record can have a sequence code entered, this will determine the sorting of parts within each product type (or sales group). Turn this option on to enable the entry of the sequence field.

set setup(bin_location1) "Bin Location"
This is the heading used for the main bin location, typically just "Bin Location".

set setup(bin_location2) ""
The system can have 2 bin locations stored for each part at each branch. You may have a bulk bin or alternate bin location. If this option is required enter the name of the location, eg: "Bulk Location".

set setup(show_in_name2) ""
Parts can have an additional line of description that is to appear on most screens and reports. If this feature is required enter the name of this field here. For the car parts industry this is typically "Make & Model".

set setup(show_in_type) 0
If you want the product type shown on most part selection screens then turn this option on (1).

set setup(show_in_averages) 0
If you want to display extra sales information on the part enquiry screen turn this option on (1). Extra information includes 12 mths sales total, 24 months, 36 months plus average sales for 3 months and 12 months.

set setup(photo_prices) {1 2 5}
Enter which selling prices you would like to display on the photo enquiry screen. The numbers 1-5 can be used to specify which prices.

set setup(sell_price_margins) {}
This feature can be used to automatically set the extra prices (2-5) during part maintenance.
Enter a list of margins for each price respectively.
If your system has 5 price levels named Price1, Price2, Price3, Price4 & Price5 and you wanted Price2 to be Price1 * .80 and Price4 to be Price1 * .50 you would add the following line to your setup file: set setup(sell_price_margins) {.80 "" .50 ""}. The blanks ("") indicate no margin.

set setup(part_description) ""
Set this option to "U" to force all part descriptions to be uppercase. This field also sets the unit measure field to uppercase also.

set setup(show_component_availability) 0
If this option is set then the component availability is also displayed on the part enquiry screen of each assembly item. This option should only be used when assembly items have 4 or less components and the company has only one stock branch (otherwise there won't be enough room on the screen).

set setup(price_file_parts) 0
Set this option if the company has price files imported automatically and they require the ability to enquire on these parts. Contact FastBase support for further assistance.

Non-Stock

set setup(create_part_prefix) ""
When creating new parts from non-stock entry screens you can have the system automatically add a prefix to each part number. Enter that prefix here.

set setup(non_stock_type) 1
This option enables the entry of the stock type during non-stock product entry.
Turn this option off if the user is not allowed to specify the product type.

set setup(non_stock_part) ""
Enter the main non-stock part, if this is specified here then a short-cut key can be used in the system to specify non-stock part entry.

set setup(non_stock_default) 1
If this option is on then when non-stock items are purchased the computer will set the part and description automatically. If this option is off then the user must always manually enter the part and description. The user can easily change the details during entry regardless of this option.

set setup(non_stock_save) 1
If this option is on then non-stock items can be saved on purchase orders.
If this option is off then non-stock items must be converted to stock lines before the purchase order can be saved.
