Non-Discountable:
Enter "Yes" if this product cannot be discounted below the standard price.
If a customer receives price level 1 (eg, Trade Price) then they cannot be sold this item below that cost.

Max Discount%:
Enter the maximum discount% any customer is allowed to get on this product.
Customers cannot be given more discount than the specified maximum off their default selling price (eg, Trade or List price).

Qty Break Discounts:
If this item attracts quantity discounts then enter the details here, eg, 10 items gets 10%, 20 items gets 20% etc.

Additional Notes

Each product type can be configured with a maximum discount% and quantity break discounts, any discounts defined will apply to all products within that type. Any discounts entered on this screen will override the discounts defined at the product type level.

When a part is non-discountable (effectively maximum discount% = 0) or the product has a maximum discount% then the sysytem calculates the lowest price the customer is allowed.

During sales order entry the user could still give the customer a discount but they would have to increase the list price so the resulting net price is still greater than or equal to the minimum price allowed.
